Details: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aslam Almehdi obtained his BDS degree in Dental Surgery from the Dhaka Dental College & Hospital, Faculty of Medicine under University of Dhaka and Post Graduate Training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery from the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University. He received his MS degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery & Medicine from the Kyungpuk National University Graduate School of Dentistry in South Korea and PhD degree in Periodontics / Periodontology (Periodontal Plastic Surgery) from Tokyo Medical & Dental University. He also completed postgraduate research training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Ehime University School of Medicine, Japan and training in Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine from Eastman Dental Institute University of London, UK and Postdoctoral Fellow in Advanced Periodontal Plastic Surgery from James Cook University, Australia. He is a Fellow of the International Academy of Oral Oncology, UK and International College of Dentistry in the USA. He attended the annual meeting and satellite symposium of the British Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology and the British Society of Oral Medicine at St. Catherine’s College, University of Oxford. Currently he is working as Associate Professor in Delta Medical College & Hospital Dental Unit. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aslam Almehdi is treating medical and dental patients including Root Canal, Crown & Bridge, Dental Implant, Orofacial Pain, Oral Cancer, Oral Trauma, Oral Cysts & Tumors, Birth Defects, Cleft Lip & Palate, TMJ Disorder, Gum Diseases and all types of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Periodontal Plastic Surgery including Orthodontics and General Dentistry. He has published a number of medical and dental papers in national and international journals.
